Christmas Outreach Project
This year, Eternal Joy will be partnering with Fairview United Methodist Church for a Christmas project to help provide items for the less fortunate working class families in the community. We will have a "Christmas Hope" tree in the church which will have ornaments placed on it with outfit sizes, and small medium and large gift requests. In addition, Eternal Joy members will be encouraged to donate turkeys and hams for the grocery portion of the program. Please see Shelly Geraci for more information about the project and what YOU can do to help out this coming holiday season.

Angelfood Ministries
Angelfood Ministries needs volunteers to help us pack and distribute food items on distribution Saturdays, as well as folks to help take food orders during the week. Please see Doug Napier if you would like to become involved in this important ministry to help feed those in need.

PRIDE PARADE
Eternal Joy MCC coordinated the Parade
Again, for 2009, Eternal Joy MCC was in charge of coordinating this year's Pride Parade from Cooper Park to Courthouse Square. Thanks to Joyce Comer for putting together a team to take on this task. Thanks also to everyone that helped with the booth at Courthouse Square. It was a huge success, and with the baked goods, pillows, wallets, and everything else that was donated for sale, over $400 was raised. Great Job everyone!! Looking forward to next year's Pride!

Rainbow Connectors is Moving June 13th
Second Saturday of each month
Starting June 13th, the Rainbow Connectors group will no longer meet at Tumbleweed's, but will meet in the Social Hall of Eternal Joy MCC instead with breakfast being served for only a $5.00 donation. So, check out this unique spirit filled Saturday morning breakfast.

Eternal Joy MCC is now an Angel Food Ministries Distribution Center
Angel Food Ministries!
Know someone who is hungry and on a limited income? Eternal Joy MCC now makes it possible for them to eat well so they can live well! Angel Food Ministries provides food to people at low cost, and Eternal Joy MCC has now become one of their distribution centers. WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR OFFICE HOURS!!!(just a little bit)  Along with our established Sunday and Wednesday hours, we will be at the church office from 1 pm. to 4 pm. to take orders on MONDAY ONLY!!!

ETERNAL JOY MCC celebrated 30 Years
Celebrating our History!
The BIG anniversary celebration was scheduled for December 5 & 6 2009. Along with Rev. Troy Perry, our Regional Elder, Rev. Diane Fisher and Rev. Delores Berry, were in attendance for the banquet. Several Pastors from Eternal Joy's past including Reverends Raeanna Biddle, Bruce Brown and Samuel Kader also enjoyed the message, music and food. On Sunday, Rev. Troy Perry delivered the sermon, which can be heard on the Sermons page.

ETERNAL JOY MCC wishes Pastor Mark only the Best!
We Will Miss Pastor Mark
Pastor Mark Pridmore will be delivered his last scriptural sermon at Eternal Joy MCC on Sunday October 25th. For 5 wonderful years, the congregation has been blessed with the leadership and dedication of this man that God sent to us. Pastor Mark is answering God's calling to pick up his feet and continue his ministry elsewhere. He will be sadly missed and not forgotten.
