Dayton Pride Celebration and Committment Ceremonies at Courthouse Square - The rain and wind could not stop the parade... Thanks to all who helped organize and set-up for this year's Pride parade and information table. Many people endured the rain, including about 16 couples who were recognized in a joint ceremony blessing the couple's union by Fr. Richard Young and Pastor Mark Pridmore. Start planning now to make the Pride celebration for 2009 even bigger and better!!

Pride Expo & Dinner-
Thank You to the volunteers that helped at this year's Pride Dinner Banquet Exposition table.
Members were on hand to let people know who and what Eternal Joy MCC is. There were two tables
representing Eternal Joy during the banquet, and the seating was center stage for a wonderful
evening of show. Music, Dancing and Entertainment was enjoyed by all.

ETERNAL JOY MCC will be celebrating 30 Years
2009 - A Year Long Celebration!
There will be a special emphasis for Pride 2009 and other events scheduled throughout the year. One idea we've heard is to have a screening of "Call Me Troy",
the award-winning documentary about MCC's founder, the Rev. Elder Troy Perry. Stay tuned for details! Steve, Larry and the Board are open to suggestions
about what we can do next year, so don't be shy about your ideas. Bring 'em on! The BIG anniversary celebration is scheduled for the first weekend of December 2009.
Along with Rev. Troy Perry, our Regional Elder, Rev. Diane Fisher, will be here as well. We'll be inviting all the churches in our Region (Region 5) and everyone from
the Dayton community, including the Mayor! Larry Chester and Steve Hamilton have been appointed by the Board to serve as chairpersons for this event. So far, we
know that the weekend will include a catered, semi-formal dinner (location and other details to be determined).
